A good place to start is the Primo library portal. There you will find the printed and electronic journals that the library has purchased or licenced, as well as many (but not all) open access journals.
>> Tip: Search in Primo not only by article title, but also by journal title! Individual articles are often not listed in Primo.
What if a journal article cannot be found in Primo? This decision tree will help you to find articles as efficiently as possible using different search tools:
Library catalogues such as Primo are not sufficient for this. However, bibliographic databases are very well suited for this purpose, thanks to their broad coverage and precise search options. For a thorough literature search it is necessary to use several databases!
>> Tip: Use large, multidisciplinary databases at the beginning of your research to get an overview of the research field. Later, after you have defined a precise research question, you should also use specialised databases to conduct the most thorough literature search possible.
