- Admission Requirements: None.
- Qualification: Students have basic knowledge of the atmospheric life cycle of mineral dust and its interactions in the atmospheric system. They are able to apply their knowledge independently to current research questions and synthesise the resulting findings.
-
Content: Atmospheric dust life cycle, dust sources, processes of emission and entrainment of dust into the atmosphere, dust transport and atmospheric residence time, meteorology of desert regions, interactions with the atmospheric system, social relevance of regional and global mineral dust distribution.
- This module is offered during sommer semester only.
