• Admission Requirements:  Successful completion of the module "Allgemeine Meteorology".
• Qualification: Students are able to read and understand satellite data and derived products and data sets. They can analyse and evaluate them with regard to relevant questions from a meteorological and environmental science perspective and interpret them. They can include various satellite products in their evaluation and assess the information content of these against each other.

• Content: The principles of evaluating satellite data are taught and the assessment of meteorological situations is practised using examples.

• The course only takes place in the winter semester only.
