At Freie Universität Berlin, WLAN is available throughout the entire campus – in over 150 buildings and in some outdoor areas. Around 2,000 access points offer bandwidths of up to 867 Mbit/s (802.11ac standard).
Through participation in the eduroam initiative, worldwide WLAN usage is possible – with just one configuration, FU members can connect to the eduroam network at other universities as well.
