On July 5th, M. Sc. Mónica Bárcenas Pazos PhD researcher at MHEI, presented her first chapter "Geographies of Solar Energy Production in Rural Mexico" at the DAAD Scholarship Holder’s Conference. Her work analyzes spatial patterns and land-use transitions in solar park development across Mexico’s diverse rural landscapes.

Pazos highlighted initial findings on regional disparities and socio-environmental considerations. Following her talk, she connected with international DAAD scholars, talking and sharing ways to study sustainable energy transitions.
