We are thrilled to share the exciting news that our session proposal has been accepted for the RC21 Conference 2024 (Research Committee 21) hosted by the International Sociological Association (ISA) in Santiago de Chile, taking place from July 24 to 26, 2024 (https://rc21conference2024.coes.cl). 

The RC21 Conference 2024 “The politics and spaces of encounters: advancing dialogues between and within the Global North and the Global South” aims to foster debates about how power dynamics and urban spaces influence conflicts, solidarities, cohesion, corruption, violence, inequalities, and segregation from intersectional and gender perspectives as well as their broader implications for cities and urban life. 

Our session is titled: [Panel 33] Bridging hierarchies for mutual learning: Advancing international cooperation in urban disaster risk and resilience research and is now open for abstract submission. We see this as yet another fantastic chance to reflect on innovative works in the landscape of global research collaborations.
