On November 10, 2023, the KFS was represented at the pre-event of the Disaster Risk Reduction Conference with a lecture by Cordula Dittmer on "Perspectives of science on disaster relief and management abroad and in Germany". The event was organized by the German Committee for Disaster Reduction (DKKV) and Aktion Deutschland Hilft (ADH).
