| The purpose of the COMMIT (COMunity Modeling IniTiative) project is to establish a German and possibly European network of institutions to develop a modelling system for atmospheric dynamics and chemistry up to high altitudes. It does not replace existing models but it is rather an attempt to integrate diverse model components into a state-of-the-art community model. COMMIT is intended to be used in support of the ISOTROP, KODYACS and MEDEC projects and possibly other AFO2000 projects. | |
