AG Modellierung des Klimasystems

In der Fachrichtung Wechselwirkungen in Klimasystem der Erde wird in der Arbeitsgemeinschaft „Modellierung des Klimasystems" das Klimasystem analysiert und modelliert mit dem Ziel, bei den beobachteten Klimaschwankungen und Extrema die anthropogenen und natürlichen Einflüsse voneinander zu trennen. Mit Hilfe von Klimamodellen wird das Kli-

mageschehen der letzten Jahrtausende rekonstruiert und das der nächsten 500 Jahre hochgerechnet. Satellitendaten dienen dazu, die Klimaschwankungen zu registrieren (climate monitoring), sowie zur Diagnose des aktuellen Wettergeschehens.
