Research interests
I am interested in mathematical modeling, especially modeling natural processes with differential equations. Accompanied by an interest in numerics, simulations, and later clouds, this has led me to cloud microphysics. For my PhD thesis, I study the evolution of the aerosol size spectrum in marine boundary layers, suspect to chemical as well as physical processing by clouds (aerosol grows while inside cloud droplets!), and the implications of this process for subsequent clouds, precipitation, and boundary layer structure.
