Aerospace Engineer - Vectronic Aerospace GmbH., Berlin

Design and assembly of hardware and software for the development, implementation and operation phases of space missions of the European Space Agency (ESA) and other spaceagencies in America and Asia.

Tasks:

Mechanical Engineer: design, construction and quality control of top-end instrumentation for satellites and space telescopes.

Software Developer: development of simulation tools for BEPI-COLOMBO, LOFT and JUICEESA missions, and software for internal quality tests and design studies.

Oct 2015

Internship: Monash University, Melbourne, Australia

Development of code for 3D visualization of a magneto-hydrodynamic simulation of the internal structure of a low mass star.

Feb 2013

Internship: Humboldt Universität, Berlin

Cerenkov radiation in atmospheric particle showers: programming of a simulation of this astrophysical phenomenon using C++ and the ROOT code, based on Montecarlo methods.

Design and development of a scientific instrument intended for experiments in an optics laboratory, collaborating with different research institutions: Department of Optics (Univ.de València) and Department of Applied Physics (Univ. Politècnica de València)

Research Interests

  • Protoplanetary disks: demographic characterization based on (sub-)mm and infrared observations, substructure and morphology of disks,dust grain growth and radial drifting, angular momentum transportmechanisms, photoevaporative winds, disk dispersal.
  • Planet formation and evolution: oligarchic core accretion, gap opening, planet-disk interactions, planetaccretion, hydrodynamical simulations of planets embedded in disks.
  • Planet detection: high contrast imaging, detectability of protoplanets, circumplanetary disks detection, kinematic detection of young planets.
  • Brown Dwarfs: formation mechanisms, early stages of evolution, demographics of brown dwarf populations, planet formation around brown dwarfs.
