The 4th MedMeet 2018 was followed by two meetings in Berlin and one in Budapest focused on Mediterranean and Alpine geodynamics and tectonics. This year the meeting was held in Utrecht, the Netherlands on 18-19 October 2018 with two days of talks, posters, and discussion on the latest state-of-the-art of Mediterranean geodynamic research. MedMeet 2018 particular focused on the involvement of PhD students and Post-docs in the discussion. Mark Handy, Eline LeBreton, Vincent Verwater and Marc Grund from our department participated this year and brought a broad poster contribution about the actual research related to the work at the Hellenic-Dinaric transition and latest results about low temperature thermochronology (DFG project).
