Martha Bonilla Moheno is researcher at the Ambiente y Sustentabilidad department of the Instituto de Ecología (INECOL) in Xalapa, Mexico. Her research explores how ecological and social factors drive land-use and land-cover change in Mexican ecosystems. She focuses on land system sustainability and ecological restoration to inform more sustainable landscape management. She is currently visiting the Modelling Human–Environmental Interactions group to conclude a Future Earth–funded project on the typology and sustainability of socioecological systems in Mexico.
