I study large-scale social-ecological land systems, acknowledging their complex dynamics and associated land use/cover changes. Most of my work involves synthesis research, using integrative data analysis from a systems perspective. I work as a GIS specialist at the Institute of Territorial and Technological Research for Habitat Production (INTEPH, CONICET–UNT, Argentina). I am originally trained as a biologist, having graduated from the National University of Tucumán, Argentina. I pursued a Master’s in Environmental Engineering at the University of Florida, and I am currently finishing a PhD in Biology at the National University of Tucumán.
I co-coordinate the Global Land Programme working group Socio-Ecological Land Systems of Latin America together with Dr. María Piquer. During my stay with the Modelling Human-Environmental Interactions group, we will collaborate on mapping the social-ecological land systems of the Andes Cordillera in South America.
