PhD Candidate

My research focuses on the human aspects of climate action and global sustainability. Particularly, I explore the dynamics of climate governance and the critical conditions that support equitable and sustainable transformations, especially from the perspective of countries and communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis.

Before entering academia, I worked for several years in international cooperation across Latin America, where I held various positions as a climate policy specialist within the UN system. Since 2021, I have been based in Germany as a researcher. First as a Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation's International Climate Protection Programme, then working on the links between climate change adaptation and health policies in the EU at the Climate Service Center Germany (GERICS), and currently at the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) analysing the governance of grasslands conservation in Argentina, Colombia and Paraguay.

By training, I'm an Environmental Engineer and hold a master's degree in Sustainable Development and Environmental Management. Currently, I'm pursuing my doctorate at the Institute of Geographical Sciences at the Freie Universität Berlin.
