From June to start of August, Dr. Lia Montti was working as a visiting researcher at Freie Universität Berlin. Collaborating with the MHEI team her research focuses on the intersections between natural and social systems, with special attention to policy, land use, and transboundary influences.

Dr. Montti is a researcher at CONICET (Grupo Biología y Ecodiversidad Vegetal-IIMyC-UNMdP) in Argentina and brings expertise on the Alto Paraná Atlantic Forest Ecoregion, a tri-national biodiversity hotspot in South America. Her visit strengthens ongoing cooperation on land system science and conservation research.
