DRU Researchers participate in the 62th German Congress of Geography

These days, six DRU researchers are participating in the 62th German Congress of Geography (Deutschen Kongress für Geographie – DKG), which is taking place at the Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt, from 19 to 23 September. The conference is one of the largest and most prestigious gatherings of geographers in Germany and around the world. Isabelle Desportes, Cordula Dittmer, Verena Flörchinger, Daniel F. Lorenz, Vicente Sandoval, and Theresa Zimmermann participate in different panels and sessions within the congress presenting results from different research projects carry out at the Disaster Research Unit, especially HoWas2021 (Governance and Communication during the Flood Crisis in July 2021 – 2021-2023) and INCREASE (Inclusive and Integrated Multi-Hazard Risk Management and Engagement of Volunteers to Increase Societal Resilience in Times of Changing Climates – 2021-2025).

 

 

The 62th German Congress of Geography is a great opportunity to introduce the work and perspectives developed by the DRU in the field of disaster sociology and human geography to a wider audience of experts.
