DRU research associates Cordula Dittmer and Daniel F. Lorenz partook on 27-28 October 2016 in a two-day expert workshop in Zurich about experiences with the European "refugee crisis." The workshop was organized by the Swiss Federal Office for Civil Protection (FOCP) together with the Center for Security Studies (CSS) of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ).

The so-called D-A-CH-Workshop welcomed representatives of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In total, there were 22 specialists from national and subnational government agencies, as well as from aid and science organizations.

A preliminary blog report of the event has just been released and can be read here (in German, French or Italian).
