My research lies at the intersection of geochemistry, spectroscopy, and computational science. Specifically, I work in the following areas:

  1.  X-ray Spectroscopy for Geochemical Element Behavior:I utilize advanced X-ray techniques, particularly Valence-to-Core X-ray Emission Spectroscopy (VtC-XES), to investigate the local chemical environments and bonding characteristics of Hf and Zr compounds (notably fluorides and oxides), as well as their complexes. This enables the study of intra- and intermolecular interactions, elemental migration pathways, and the geochemical fractionation mechanisms of twin element pairs such as Zr–Hf and Ho–Y.
  2. Infrared Spectroscopy of High Refractive Index Materials: I apply both 1D (e.g., ATR-FTIR) and 2D (2DIR) infrared spectroscopy to study the vibrational properties and spectral anomalies of ultrahigh refractive index materials—including ZrC, HfC, carbon, and graphite—especially when mixed or interacting with organic matter.
  3. Deep Learning for Spectral Identification and Correction:I leverage deep learning approaches, including LSTM and Transformer architectures, to process complex spectroscopic datasets.
