China has landed its first rover on Mars

Now China has also managed to land on Mars for the first time. The lander of the Chinese space probe "Tianwen-1" landed on the surface of the Red Planet on the night of Saturday, 15 May 2021, with the rover "Zhurong" on board. The space probe "Tianwen-1" was launched in July 2021 and reached Mars orbit in February. Named after the Chinese god of fire, the rover will study the geology and climate of Mars in the Utopia Planitia region over the next three months.
