My main research focus is on

  • the evolution of late Pleistocene–Holocene climate and environments and human–environment interactions in Northern, Eastern and Southern Eurasia and
  • subsistence economies of prehistoric and early historic cultures, the shift from foraging to farming, and the development and spread of crops in Eurasia.
