Nepomuk Boitz started studying Geophysics at TU Bergakademie Freiberg and changed to Freie Universität in 2013. In his bachelor thesis he dealt with an alternative method of event location using the relative traveltimes between array geophones. For his Master's thesis he studied the influence of anisotropy on seimic source mechanisms and used this to perform an anisotropic Moment-tensor inversion. Since March 2017 he has been a PhD student in the Geophysics Group, continuing his research on source mechanisms in isotropic and anisotropic media.
