Marc Ulrich Grund currently works at the Division of Tectonics and Sedimentary Geology, Freie Universität Berlin. Marc does research in Thermochronology, Structural Geology, Petrology and Geology. His current project is related to the Dinaric-Hellenic junction marked by the Shkoder-Peja Normal Fault in northern Albania and Kosovo where he applies low-temperature thermochronology to investigate the cooling and exhumation history of the orogen. To reveal crustal scale processes he applies apatite fission track dating and carbon crystallinity measurements with Raman for paleotemperatures. His future work will be also focused on Zircon Fission Track dating (ZFT), A/He and Z/He dating to examine a wider range of temperatures.
