News from Jul 08, 2019

On July 3, 2019, the DRU conducted a quick-response research during the forest fire near Lübtheen, district Ludwigslust Parchim, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The forest fire, which had been burning for days on heavily ammunition-polluted soil, led to the evacuation of 650 people from four villages. It was possible to conduct interviews with relief personnel (e.g., fire brigades, German Red Cross, Malteser Hilfsdienst, Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund) for the WAKE project in the emergency shelter in Lübtheen and also to observe the entire mission.
