DRU investigates heatwaves in Odisha, India

The DRU research associates Bettina Wenzel and Jessica Reiter are conducting a case study about the heatwaves of Odisha, India. Their aim is to clarify the different perceptions of vulnerability in the face of extreme heat and gain a better understanding of intercultural aspects of vulnerability and resilience. To this intent, they will conduct qualitative interviews with experts and affected persons. The results will be analysed in relation to German and international discourses.
