On 16 March 2017 Cordula Dittmer presented a paper, co-written with Daniel F. Lorenz, entitled „'Emergency Imaginary', Humanitarian Interventions and Disaster Management in Germany” at the annual meeting by the German Association for Peace and Conflict Studies (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Friedens- und Konfliktforschung, AFK), hosted in cooperation with the European Peace Research Association (EuPRA).
