Yes. According to §3 paragraph 6 of the FU Berlin Library Regulations, visiting scholars affiliated with Freie Universität Berlin may be granted borrowing rights even without a registered residence in Berlin or Brandenburg, provided they have a scientific interest in using the library.

Other eligible user groups without residence requirement include:

• Academic cooperation partners

• FU Berlin scholarship holders

• Guest students (Gasthörende)
