The turbulent exchange in street canyons is determined by a number of parameters, most importantly the geometry of the canyon, and a key when air quality in urban areas is of concern. In this project, an existing implementation of our DNS code shall be used to assess a wind tunnel experiment conducted in a wind tunnel at Princeton University. The gained understanding will be useful for modeling of turbulent exchange in an urban context and aid the representation of urban canopies in Large-Eddy simulation.
