The tasks during the preparation phase within the whole process of proposal writing

The preparation phase is a time consuming process that many applicants under estimate time wise. Development of the project idea from just a concept to a well structured idea takes time and needs extensive communication with different partners. Moreover, some logistic activities need to be conducted in order to engage partners and be able to start the writing process. This will involve a number of meetings, communication with your organization’s top management as well as other partners’ top management. The more you put time and effort to this phase, the more you get a smooth writing phase and a proposal that will have a clear description of roles and responsibilities of involved partners securing a degree of success during implementation.

You would need to do the following things during preparation phase:

  • develop your project idea;
  • discuss with partners and collegues (networking)
  • check the relevance of your project idea;
  • conduct a SWOT analysis;
  • recruit your team
  • request approvals from top management (klick on the second figure to see a chart with the preparation process) .
