The master's program's goal is to prepare the student for working both in meteorological science and the adjacent areas of earth system research.

The master's program is a research oriented study program which is based consecutively on the precedent bachelor's program. It covers several topics from the areas of numeric modeling, theoretical meteorology, weather and climate diagnosis and satellite meteorology. 

Students are especially qualified to autonomously treat problems of meteorology and climatology with scientific methods and to present the results of their work.
