During its meeting at ESA Headquarters in Paris in late November, ESA’s Science Programme Committee SPC has approved the extension of the Mars Express operations to at least the end 2020. The decision will be subject to confirmation towards the end of 2018. Since the launch of the mission in 2003, the spacecraft transmits valuable data on the atmosphere and surface of Mars. Our working group participates in the analysis of the image data taken by HRSC on Mars Express.
