Content

This course beginns with an introduction to wave propagation based oncontinuum mechanics and then covers the following topics:

  • Derivation of the elasto dynamic Green's function for homogeneous, isotropic media.
  • Waves in layered media
  • Waves in random media
  • Born approximation
  • Rytov Approximation
  • Waves in in anisotropic media.
  • geometrical optics
