Aurelian joined our group as a student assistant in 2009. He received his bachelor’s (2011) and master’s (2015) degrees in Geological Sciences from Freie Universität Berlin. For his master’s thesis, Aurelian developed an enhanced OASES workflow for 3D anisotropic full waveform modeling with complex source-receiver geometries. Since January 2016, he has been a research assistant and a doctoral candidate at our Institute and focuses on imaging and inversion techniques. Aurelian is the Chair of the Student Geoscientific Society and the Student Co-Chair of the SEG Committee on University and Student Programs.
